Audio Quality Control Specialist

Job Overview
We are looking for an Audio Quality Control Specialist to review and validate recorded audio files against strict technical and project-specific quality requirements.
The role focuses on the technical analysis and quality control of audio recordings, including checking audio levels, noise, frequency characteristics, file specifications, and recording duration. The successful candidate will use Adobe Audition to assess recordings and approve compliant audio hours for delivery to the client.
This is a remote, volume-based role, with the workload depending on the actual number of audio hours received.
Key Responsibilities
- Review recorded audio files for technical quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Analyze recordings for:
- Noise floor
- Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR)
- RMS levels
- LUFS / loudness
- Peak levels
- Clipping and distortion
- Frequency spectrum
- Verify that recordings meet the required technical specifications:
- 48 kHz sample rate
- 24-bit depth
- Mono WAV format
- Identify technical issues and flag recordings that do not meet the required quality standards.
- Perform detailed audio analysis using Adobe Audition.
- Verify the quality, completeness, and duration of processed recording hours.
- Maintain accurate QC records and quality reports.
- Track and report recurring technical issues or patterns affecting recording quality.
- Approve compliant recording hours for further processing and delivery to the client.
- Process audio based on the actual volume of recordings received.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Adobe Audition.
- Practical experience in professional audio recording, editing, or quality control.
- Strong understanding of audio technical parameters and quality standards.
- Ability to analyze and interpret:
- RMS
- LUFS
- SNR
- Peak levels
- Frequency spectrum
- Noise floor
- Clipping
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with strict technical specifications and quality criteria.
- Good organizational skills and ability to maintain clear QC records.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable working with varying volumes of audio depending on project needs.
