Founder Michelle Coulson has sat on every side of the hiring table since 2014, as an external recruiter, an in-house recruiter, a remote hiring manager, and a remote job seeker herself. Originally from the UK, she has recruited and headhunted for over a decade across Europe, the USA, Singapore, and Australia. The company is deliberately not a recruitment agency. Recruiters work for the company, and Remote Rebellion works for the candidate. Its core program, the Remote Job Academy, covers which roles and companies to target, where to find genuinely remote work, how to apply so applications turn into interviews, how networking actually produces referrals, and what to say once the interview starts. Member profiles are shared with a network of more than 16,000 recruiters globally, with personal referrals made where relevant, and members join a global community of professionals already working remotely. The expertise sits in senior and C-suite roles across tech, sales and marketing, and people and business operations. The team has helped over 200 Rebels land a remote job.
