⭐️ The mission of the Union Relations Lead

Unions and social partners play a central and legitimate role in how social protection is designed, negotiated and implemented in France. We're looking for a Union Relations Lead to build and animate Alan's relationships with unions, their federations, and the broader paritariste ecosystem, making Alan a trusted, substantive and well-known interlocutor of French social partners, and supporting our Enterprise & Public Sector teams across large private employers and public institutions.

⭐ What makes this role genuinely unique

• You'll shape how one of Europe's fastest-growing health tech companies builds its relationships with the French social partner ecosystem (from confederations to sector federations to paritariste institutions).

• You'll operate at the highest levels of the paritariste ecosystem: CFDT and FO confederal leadership, sector federations, IP boards, organisations patronales.

• You'll shape the strategy, not just execute it. Alan is at an early stage of building this capability (the playbook is yours to define)

• You'll work directly with Founders, Public Affair as well as Public Sector and Enterprise leadership.

• Real ownership from day one, in one of the fastest-growing tech unicorns in Europe.

⭐️ Your role

Relationships & Presence

• Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with the organizations that represent employees and members across the sectors that matter to Alan (unions, federations, and the structures that convene them).

• Map the ecosystem, prioritize interlocutors, and design the engagement strategy at confederal, federal and branch level.

• Represent Alan in federations, working groups, congrès and paritariste institutions where our sector’s future is discussed.

• Be the credible consistent Alan voice social partners recognise

Partnership with Alan's Enterprise & Public Sector work

• Be a partner to our teams serving large private employers and public sector clients, briefing them on the social partners context and how Alan’s offer speaks to their priorities

• Introduce the right contacts at the right moment in the commercial cycle, turning Alan’s ecosystem relationships into concrete commercial leverage.

• Share Alan’s content with social partners to help them assess Alan on its merits and form their own view.

Sector Engagement & Anticipation

• Follow the dialogue at branch level and across the paritariste ecosystem and turn that understanding into internal clarity.

• Represent Alan in the federations and working groups where our sector's future is discussed, contributing a constructive and recognizable voice.

• Be a sharp, early internal voice on where social dialogue is heading and on the implications for Alan's strategy.

Build & Scale

• Knowledge base: Build and maintain a knowledge library on social partner positions, branch agreements, and paritariste institutions shared with Enterprise and Public Sector deal teams to increase win rates.

• Framework & tools: Implement processes and AI tools to improve the quality and efficiency of our social partner engagement and documentation.

• Collaboration: Share best practices with the broader Enterprise & Public Sector team and contribute proven methodologies to their scaled commercial operations.

• Market intelligence: Provide competitive intelligence on how social partners and competitors position themselves in our key markets.

⭐ Is it you we’re looking for?

You’ll be a great fit for the Union Relations Lead role at Alan if you:

• Have at least 8 years of total experience in social partner relations: in a union organization, a branch federation, a paritariste institution, or in an external affairs role at a mutelle, IP or insurer

• Have legitimate credibility at federation level: ability to engage federation leadership as a peer, built through a personal representative past or years of substantive engagement at federation level on employer side.

• Have deep knowledge of the paritariste ecosystem: branch agreements, confederal mandates, protection sociale reforms, and how institutions at each level function

• Have proven ability to build trust with social partners from the employer/state side

• Have outstanding stakeholder management: calm, long-game, trustworthy, discreet, able to represent Alan substantively without making it about yourself.

• Have ability to translate Alan’s product and strategy into compelling narratives for social partner audiences

• Demonstrable impact from prior social-partner work on an organization’s commercial and strategic outcomes

• Are a self-starter: comfortable building from scratch in a fast-paced, high-growth environment

• Are ego-free and lever-minded: you accelerate others, you don't seek the spotlight.

• Are based in (or willing to relocate to) Paris.

Nice to have:

• A confederal or federal elected / permanent past.

• Experience inside a paritariste institution

• Experience inside a sector federation on its social dialogue agenda.

• Legal background in droit social and comfort reading accords collectifs quickly.

• International exposure to the European social dialogue ecosystem.

• Prior experience with RFPs or tenders involving union-negotiated or paritariste schemes.
