Qompyl is an early-stage fintech startup building a mobile-first platform that makes advanced financial tools more intuitive, visual, and accessible.
We’re rethinking how people interact with markets—combining solid engineering, thoughtful design, and a hands-on, gamified experience.
We’re currently preparing for our MVP launch, and quality is a critical part of that journey.
We’re looking for a Quality Control Engineer to help us build the foundations of quality from the ground up.
This is a hands-on role, focused on testing backend systems, APIs, and data flows, while also helping define lightweight QA processes that can scale as the product grows. You’ll work closely with engineering and product leads to ensure reliability, accuracy, and confidence in every release.
If you enjoy bringing structure to fast-moving environments and care deeply about data integrity and system behavior, this role is for you.
Design and execute test plans for backend services, APIs, and data workflows
Maintain regression, integration, and performance testing across environments
Collaborate with engineers to reproduce, document, and resolve issues
Track defects and quality tasks in JIRA and follow through to resolution
Help introduce and improve lightweight test automation where it adds real value
Validate front-end user flows and data integrations for consistency and completeness
Define quality metrics and contribute to release-readiness reporting
Support build verification in containerized environments (Docker / Azure)
Create early QA documentation, templates, and standards for future releases
2+ years of experience testing backend or API-driven applications
Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Pytest, or similar)
Familiarity with Python-based environments (FastAPI, SQLAlchemy)
Solid understanding of SQL databases and data validation
Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerized systems (Docker)
Strong documentation and communication skills
Comfortable working in distributed, async teams (JIRA, Confluence, Git)
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a strong sense of ownership
Experience with financial, analytical, or data-intensive products is a plus.
You’ll be joining a small, senior, and highly collaborative team, where everyone contributes beyond rigid role boundaries.
We value clarity, ownership, and practical solutions over heavy processes—especially at this stage.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems that enable others to move fast with confidence.
This is a part-time, equity-only role until after MVP launch and sustainable funding or revenue are achieved.
