Video Editor
Vertical: Marketing
Location: Remote - Philippines, Eastern Europe, and Latin America
USD Salary: Negotiable based on experience
The Video Editor is responsible for producing high-quality, platform-optimized video content that supports marketing campaigns, social media, paid advertising, and brand storytelling. This role takes raw footage and transforms it into polished, engaging video assets that align with brand standards and campaign objectives. The Video Editor works closely with content strategists, social media managers, and paid media teams to ensure video output drives audience engagement and delivers results.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit and produce video content for a variety of formats including social media short-form (Reels, TikTok), long-form content, YouTube videos, paid ad creative, and brand videos.
- Cut, color grade, add motion graphics, sound design, captions, and transitions to produce polished final outputs.
- Collaborate with creative directors, marketing strategists, and account managers to understand content goals and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Manage multiple video projects simultaneously, delivering assets on time and to quality standards.
- Optimize videos for specific platforms (aspect ratios, file formats, length guidelines, etc.).
- Iterate on edits based on performance data and stakeholder feedback.
- Organize and maintain a video asset library and project files.
- Stay current with video trends, platform best practices, and emerging content formats.
- Assist with basic motion graphics or animated content as needed.
- Collaborate with graphic designers on visual consistency across video and static assets.\
Requirements
- 2–4 years of professional video editing experience in a marketing, agency, or content production environment.
- Proficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
- Strong portfolio of video work across different formats and channels.
- Experience with color grading, audio mixing, and motion graphics (After Effects or similar).
- Ability to edit efficiently under deadlines while managing multiple projects.
- Strong sense of visual storytelling, pacing, and editing rhythm.
- Understanding of platform-specific video specifications and best practices.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience producing high-performing short-form content for TikTok, Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Familiarity with performance-driven ad creative editing for paid social campaigns.
- Experience with 2D animation or advanced motion graphics.
- Basic knowledge of audio production and music licensing.
- Experience editing UGC (user-generated content) for marketing purposes.
- Background in e-commerce, D2C, or digital marketing content.
