Role Scope & Purpose

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) / Cold Caller is the engine of the top-of-funnel sales pipeline. This role is responsible for identifying, prospecting, and qualifying potential leads through outbound outreach, primarily cold calling, email, and LinkedIn, with the goal of booking discovery calls or meetings for the Account Executive team. The SDR serves as the first human touchpoint for prospects and plays a critical role in shaping their initial impression of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calls, email sequences, and LinkedIn outreach.
• Research and identify ideal customer profile (ICP) accounts and contacts for targeted outreach.
• Qualify leads based on predefined criteria and hand off to Account Executives for discovery calls.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospecting activities and lead statuses in the CRM.
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly KPIs including call volume, connect rates, and meetings booked.
• Personalize outreach messaging based on prospect research and pain points.
• Follow up persistently and professionally with prospects across multiple touchpoints.
• Collaborate with the sales team to refine messaging, sequences, and targeting strategies.
• Provide feedback to marketing on common objections and lead quality.
• Continuously improve through coaching, training, and self-development.

Requirements

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role, or demonstrated hunger and aptitude for a first role in sales.
• Comfortable with high-volume cold calling, no phone aversion.
• Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and build rapport quickly.
• Resilience and persistence, ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive attitude.
• Basic CRM proficiency such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
• Strong written communication for email and LinkedIn outreach.
• Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to self-manage against quotas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional environment for calls.
• Availability to work US time zones.
• Comfortable working as an independent contractor.

Nice to Have

• Experience with sales engagement tools such as Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, or Instantly.
• Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospecting.
• Experience in B2B SaaS or services sales.
• Knowledge of basic sales methodologies such as SPIN or MEDDIC.
• Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding SDR quotas.
