About the Role

We are looking for a highly analytical Demand Planner with hands-on Amazon FBA experience to optimize inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment across Amazon marketplaces. This role is essential in ensuring products remain in stock while minimizing excess inventory and storage costs.

The ideal candidate understands Amazon's inventory ecosystem, is comfortable working with large datasets, and can turn sales trends into accurate demand forecasts. You'll collaborate with account managers, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure inventory decisions support business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Amazon FBA and FBM inventory using historical sales data, seasonality, and market trends.
  • Monitor inventory levels across Amazon fulfillment centers and flag risks of stockouts or excess inventory.
  • Create and manage replenishment plans and purchase orders in coordination with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Analyze sell-through rates and inventory performance metrics to refine forecasting models.
  • Manage Amazon's Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score and implement strategies to maintain healthy levels.
  • Coordinate with the account management and operations teams to align inventory plans with promotional calendars and product launches.
  • Reconcile Amazon inventory reports and identify discrepancies or lost/damaged inventory for reimbursement claims.
  • Provide weekly and monthly inventory and forecast reports to stakeholders.
  • Identify slow-moving inventory and recommend remediation strategies (e.g., pricing adjustments, promotions, removal orders).
  • Continuously improve forecasting accuracy through data analysis and process refinement

Requirements

  • 2–4 years of demand planning or inventory management experience.
  • Hands-on experience managing Amazon FBA inventory.
  • Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central inventory tools.
  • Experience building demand forecasting models.
  • Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills:
    • Pivot Tables
    • XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP
    • INDEX/MATCH
    • Forecasting formulas
    • Data analysis
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
  • Ability to interpret sales trends and inventory data.
  • Experience managing large SKU catalogs.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal) (C1)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with inventory management or ERP software (e.g., Inventory Planner, SoStocked, NetSuite, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Amazon's Restock tool, FBA capacity limits, and storage fee structures.
  • Experience with Amazon Vendor Central replenishment processes.
  • Knowledge of international logistics and freight coordination.
  • Experience managing seasonal or promotional demand spikes on Amazon.
  • Exposure to data visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI)
